Biography

Andy Gelinas is an American lawyer with 25 years of top-quality legal, regulatory, and compliance experience across a broad spectrum of the financial services industry. His experience includes working for U.S. and non-U.S. regulatory authorities, top-tier global financial firms such a Morgan Stanley, and a major New York City law firm. Notably as a Senior Counsel at the U.S. SEC, he designed and conducted special-purpose financial risk management examinations of major brokerage firms following the 2008 financial crisis. In July 2025, Andy launched IFC Pro Advisors LLC, a boutique consulting firm that specializes in advising and assisting governmental agencies and private-sector clients in relation to the implementation of international-standard financial sector law and regulation.
